This is only natural surfacing product we offer, which comes in a multitude of color options that you can only get with the natural beauty of Granite. We can arrange for your customers to view and pick their stone at local warehouses. These stone warehouses store a wide variety of colors. Customers can literally hand pick their countertop. In addition, we can even offer them layout services. Layout services are where the customer can go to the fabricator’s facility just prior to fabrication so they can select which portion of the stone is used in specific areas of their countertops that they want highlighted.
We offer both LG’s “Viatera” and DuPont’s “Zodiaq” Quartz products. This makes for a wide selection of Quartz colors. Quartz products are made form a universal combination of 93% quartz material and 7% resin that delivers a harder surface than granite. Because of the production of the product it is much less porous than granite. This means Quartz is harder to stain than Granite. Quartz is also anti-bacterial and will never need to be sealed—unlike Granite.
When choosing between Granite and Quartz, it usually comes down to whether the customer is looking for the natural movement of the colors in Granite versus the consistent look of Quartz. Another consideration is the lack of maintenance in Quartz versus Granite. Granite has a larger range of price points from low to high which varies by color. In comparison to Granite, Quartz has less of a range of price points and is in the medium price point range.
Solid SurfaceWhen it comes to solid surface there isn’t a more widely known name other than “Corian”. We offer both DuPont’s “Corian” and LG’s “Hi Mac” solid surface product. Many people like the matte finish and durability and resilience of solid surface. This merely means that if the product is chipped or scratched that it can easily be repaired. Another great benefit of solid surface is the ability to have an integral sink. An integral sink is fabricated so that it is a piece of the countertop, which means that there are no seams or lines where the sink meets the countertop. All solid surface products can be aggressively cleaned to ensure their beauty many years down the road.
